报告摘要：Let $p$ be an odd prime and let $Z_p$ denote the cyclic group of order $p$, and $Z_p^*$ be the set of all nonzero elements of $Z_p$. For a graph $G$, a mapping $b: V(G) \to Z_p$ is a $Z_p$-boundary mapping if $\sum_{v \in V(G)} b(v) = 0$ in $\Z_p$. Esperet, de Joannis de Verclos, Le, and Thomasse in [SIAM J. Discrete Math., 32(1) (2018), 534--542] introduced the problem  for any graph $G$, any given mapping $f: E(G) \to Z_p^*$ and any $Z_p$-boundary $b$ of $G$, whether there exists an orientation $D$ of $G$ such that under $D$, at every vertex, the net out $f$-flow is the same as $b(v)$ in $\Z_p$. Such an orientation $D$ is called an $(f,b;p)$-orientation of $G$. Esperet et al. indicated that this problem is closely related to mod $p$-orientations of graphs, including Tutte's nowhere zero 3-flow conjecture and show that if the edge-connectivity of  graph $G$ is a quadratic function of $p$, then for any such mappings $f$ and $b$, $G$ has an $(f,b;p)$-orientation of $G$. We show that if $G$ can be embedded in a surface of Euler genus $g$ and edge-connectivity $\kappa'(G)$ is a linear function of $p$ and $g$, then $G$ also admits an $(f,b;p)$-orientation for any mapping $f: E(G) \to Z_p^*$ and any $Z_p$-boundary $b$ of $G$.

专家简介：1982年在广州华南工学院（现广州华南理工大学）数学系毕业。1983-1988在美国密执安韦恩州立大学（Wayne State University）获数学博士学位，指导老师为当时世界上顶尖组合数学杂志(Journal of Combinatorial Theorey, Series B)的编辑凯特林（Catlin）教授。1988-1989年在加拿大滑铁卢大学（University of Waterloo）组合优化系，在著名图论专家邦迪（Bondy）教授指导下作博士后研究。1989年受聘于美国西弗吉尼亚大学（West Virginia University）数学系为助理教授。1995年升为副教授并聘为终身教授，2000年升为正教授。曾任西弗吉尼亚大学数学系研究生委员会主任。从2009年起任西弗吉尼亚大学数学系副主任。1996年获学院最优科研奖， 2006年获学院最优教师奖，以及2006年全校最优教师奖， 成为西弗吉尼亚大学历史上获此荣誉的第一个华裔教授。主要研究工作是：图论和拟阵论中的欧拉子图问题，哈密顿圈以及哈密顿性问题，整数流问题，等密拟阵和等密网络问题，图论中的染色问题和连通度问题。
