Abstract: In October 2016, Huawei announced that it had achieved 27 Gbit/s in 5G field trial tests using Polar codes for channel coding. And the Polar codes are shown to be capacity-achieving on binary memoryless symmetric channels under successive cancellation (SC) decoding for infinite block length. In the finite-length regime, however, SC decoding suffers from poor performance due to error propagation. Recently, a new type of permutation group decoder for Reed-Muller codes, termed automorphism ensemble (AE) decoder, has been proposed based on the automorphism groups of the codes. The automorphism group of Reed- Muller codes is known, however, the question remains wide open for other linear codes. In this talk, we will introduce some recent work on the automorphism groups of linear codes.

报告人简介:马纪成,重庆文理学院数学与大数据学院执行院长、教授,新西兰奥克兰大学博士、斯洛文尼亚Primorska大学博士后,美国北卡威尔明顿大学兼职教授,重庆市学术技术带头人(后备人选),重庆市巴渝学者青年学者,重庆市高校群与图的理论及应用重点实验室主任,重庆数学会常务理事,重庆运筹学会常务理事,重庆工业与应用数学会常务理事。近年来主持国家自然科学基金3项,省部级自科项目5项,在《中国科学:数学》Journal of Combin. Theory, Ser B》《Journal of Algebra》《European J. Combin.等期刊发表论文20余篇。
